A bride’s dream wedding dress became a reality thanks to her talented brother, a couture fashion designer who spent 120 hours creating the one-of-a-kind gown.
Brooke Evans, 30, a hairdresser from Shropshire, England, had been discussing her wedding plans when her brother, Reagen Varross, stepped in with a generous offer: he would design and create her wedding dress from scratch.
“When I saw the dress, I was very emotional. It was completely couture, and I was blown away,” Evans shared with SWNS.
A Labor of Love: The Making of the Dress
Reagen Varross, known for his expertise in couture fashion, began by crafting a mock-up of the dress using tulle to perfect the design. Once satisfied, he moved on to the final fabric to complete the masterpiece.
Despite its couture nature, Varross ensured the dress maintained a casual elegance that suited his sister’s vision for her wedding day.
After months of meticulous work, he presented the finished gown to Evans, leaving her awestruck. “I had seen sketches and ideas before, but seeing it in person and trying it on—it was amazing,” she said.
A Priceless Gift for a Special Day
While a dress of this caliber would typically cost around $20,000, Varross gifted it to his sister, covering the cost of materials as a wedding present.
“He’s an incredible designer, and this dress made the day even more perfect,” Evans expressed.
Varross documented the creation process on social media, showcasing the detailed cutting, stitching, and sewing that went into crafting the gown.
A Wedding to Remember
Evans married in August 2024, describing the day as a “joyful celebration” filled with love, laughter, and dancing.
“The reception featured live performances by singers and saxophonists, creating an unforgettable party atmosphere,” she shared.
Her brother’s handcrafted dress was the centerpiece of the day, making the occasion all the more special.
